How to Throw a Great Tailgate Party Before a Football Game

You have tickets to an upcoming football game and you want to tailgate beforehand. There are a few things you should do to make sure your party is a  winbir success. It doesn’t involve too much work and can make the day a lot of fun.

You should plan on getting to the parking lot of the stadium at least two to three hours before the game. You want to make sure you have enough time to set up, cook, have fun and clean up all before the game starts. It’s surprising how fast the time goes by, so you want to maximize the partying to get ready for the main event.

Definitely make sure you bring a grill. It is usually the one main staple of any good tailgating party. Hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages and other types of meat are all great to cook and eat before a game. Of course beer and soda are pretty much required to wash down the great food.

Other mandatory items include utensils, napkins, paper towels and tools to cook the meat. This ends up being a lot of things to worry about, but if you tailgate on a regular basis, you should consider keeping everything together so that you can stay organized and not forget anything. Cleaning up after the party is important as well, so make sure to bring cleaning supplies since you want to respect the parking lot where you’re throwing the party.

Finally, bring some forms of entertainment. You’re going to spend most of your time eating and drinking, but if you can play a game, throw around a football or watch other games on television with a satellite dish, you’ll add to the fun.
