Tips for Allowing Change to Occur in Your Life

You can change your life for the better. We all lost our rightful position as a result of sin. As a result of the fall of Adam and Eve, we all lost and most people are still suffering today. Since we were born we are trying to improve ourselves in order to live better lives. God is helping us to change through His Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. Through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, we were all positionally restored. In order to be practically restored, each one must take responsibility. Therefore, you are the only one who can change your life for the better. You are the Prophet of your own life. I have some questions for you today. What do you want to be or achieve this year? Where do you want to be? Now, in order to bring positive change in your life, you need to follow the steps presented in this article.

1. Plan for your life

Eze 37:1 The hand of Jehovah was on me, and brought me by the Spirit of Jehovah, and made me rest in the midst of a valley, and it was full of bones.

Eze 37:2 And He made me pass among them all around. And behold, very many were on the face of the valley. And lo, they were very dry.

Eze 37:3 And he said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord Jehovah, You know.

Every strong and great building has a plan. In order to plan properly, know your situation. The Prophet Ezekiel saw that the bones were very dry. When God asked Him if the bones could live, he said he did not know. The bones were very dry. So this shows that the situation hopeless. How is your life today? Are you satisfied with it? Have you reached all your desired goals in life?

Things can change for the better. But before they can change, understand your situation. Know what you desire and then plan for it.

John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you.

This portion of scripture promises that whatever we ask shall be done for us. The conditions are abiding in Christ and having His Word abide in us. What is your desire or want? Knowing what you desire will help you to focus your energies. Your efforts will be concentrated.

Example: Danger of losing focus

One day a lion chased after many zebras. It chased whichever was close to it. If one seemed to outpace it, it changed for another. The lion caught nothing at the end. The problem? It was not focussed.

2. Speak what you desire

Eze 37:4 Again He said to me, Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the Word of Jehovah.

Eze 37:5 So says the Lord Jehovah to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.

Eze 37:6 And I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live. And you shall know that I am Jehovah.

Eze 37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a noise. And behold, a shaking! And the bones came near, a bone to its bone.

You are your own Prophet. Say what you desire or want. Everything that was created has ears, so it listens. They may not be physical like ours or those of animals. You are a spiritual being. So your words are a creative force.

If you speak the right words, you can change your life for the better. As the Prophet Ezekiel prophesied to the dry bones, there was movement and a sound. Change started taking place. The bones, sinews and flesh came together as the words of life were spoken. Things can come together in your own life. The Gospel of Mark gives us a lesson about the power of our words.

Mar 11:21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which You cursed has withered away.

Mar 11:22 And answering Jesus said to them, Have faith of God.

Mar 11:23 For truly I say to you that whoever shall say to this mountain, Be moved and be cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he said shall occur, he shall have whatever he said.

The fig tree heard the words of Jesus and obeyed. The Master continued to say that whoever was going to say to the mountain, “… be removed and be cast into the sea… ,” it would move. Prophesy to your own life. What do you want in the new year? Write it down. Then prophesy. Speak to your own life. Believe what you say. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat the fruit of it.”

Your tongue or words are powerful. They are creative. We are all reaping the fruits of our tongue or words. So I am saying to you use your words to your advantage. Use them positively.

3. Receive your desire

Eze 37:10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the Spirit came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.

After you have done all, receive your desire by faith. We can all receive from God. How does one receive from God?

Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

When does one receive from God? You receive at the Request personal prophetic word time of prayer. That happens in the spirit realm. You then have to manifest it in the physical realm. But how? Let us look at Philippians 4:6-8.

Php 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

Php 4:7 And the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Php 4:8 Finally, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think on these things.

After you have prayed and requested something from God, stop being anxious. Then give thanks to God for granting your request. Thanksgiving is an expression of faith. After you have done that, ensure that you never speak words, think thoughts or do things that contradict what you have asked from God (your desire). He that waivers should not expect to receive anything from God. After you have received something good, something you have been desiring, how do you feel? You get excited. So be excited before you see the physical manifestation. We call that faith or believing. That is the attitude you should have. Then you will see your desire manifested.

Conclusion

No one can stop you from receiving what you desire in life. Your desire for something should be sufficient enough to pursue your dream. If the desire is not strong enough, anything can stop you. Plan your life. This will avoid confusion along the way. Remember, you are your own Prophet. Speak what you desire. Ezekiel spoke to the dry bones and they responded. Learn to receive. See yourself possessing what you want. Start thanking God before your desire is manifested in the physical. Indeed, you can change your own life.
